John Freeman is a thirty-seven year old Quality Manager and Technical Writer who has had 12 years of experience working in these capacities for Amcor Flexibles Australasia, and at a major component supplier to Nissan Motor Manufacturing Co.. Being a person who enjoys working to develop logical management systems of meticulous detail, his focus is always to create a workable format which will suit the particular needs of a business culture or user environment.

The most recent of his quality management roles has encompassed the implementation of an ISO9000 quality system for a division of Amcor, which was certified at the first audit with a minimum number of minor non-conformances.

Further, the system had been simultaneously developed to incorporate a 'self directing work teams' principle. SafetyMAP implementation is also a prerequisite for every site, and Amcor later utilised his experience to write a generic ISO9000 compatible Universal Food Safety System incorporating HACCP, to be implemented as standard policy at every one of their flexible packaging divisions.
To complete and manage this dual system, John utilised an 'on-line' network package which provided live access to multiple users and immediate linking to all relevant documentation.

Among other areas of John's formal training is included; Food Safety Auditing; Variable Sampling Techniques (Statistics); Quality Assurance Certification and Documentational Requirements (ISO9000); Internal Auditing; Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems and Team Leadership. He also enjoys providing training for individuals or small groups, and has conducted Training Needs Assessments and generated competency based training programs with accompanying personnel skills matrixes. Personally, he enjoys a wide range of interests from creative writing to archaeology, and is currently president of Chevalier Fencing Club.
